Dalhousie is a hill station in Himachal prades, established in 1854 by the British Empire in India as a summer retreat for its troops and bureaucrats.Dalhousie being a beautiful tourist spot, plays an important role in the economy of the state. The major industry is tourism.U can visit many places in Dalhousie. Near Alla there is a patato field which offers mesmerizing scenic landscape..There is another polpular spot is the karelanu which is famous for its precious water healed a great leader Subash chandra Bose. Mount Abu

Mount Abu is the only hill station in rajasthan.It is situated in the mountain range of araveli. its cool climate to its rich flora covering the entire hillside that includes coniferous trees and flowering shrubs. The road leading to Mount Abu is a curved one characterized by arid region dotted with huge rocks in weird shapes and high velocity winds. The only hill station in Rajasthan, Mount Abu is more than just a summer retreat. Its stunning array of exquisite Dilwara Jain Temples, dating back 11th - 13th centuries, make it a popular pilgrimage centre. Abu according to a legend stands for the son of Himalayan, deriving its name from Arbuada, the powerful serpent who rescued Nandi, the sacred bull of Lord Shiva, from a chasm. Mount Abu has also been home to many sages and saints. Most famous of them was Sage Vashishtha who is believed to have created four agnikula Rajput clans from a fire-pit by performing a fire sacrifice, to protect the earth from the demons. The Dilwara Temples are a complex of temples, carved of white marble, that were built between the 11th and 13th centuries AD. The oldest of these is the Vimal Vasahi temple, built in 1031 AD by Vimal Shah and dedicated to the first of the Jain Tirthankaras. The Lun Vasahi Temple were built in 1231 AD by the brothers Vastupal and Tejpal, who belonged to the Porwal Jain community. They were ministers of Raja Vir Dhawal, a local ruler of Gujarat. The Achalgarh fort, built in the 14th century by Rana Kumbha of Mewar, stands nearby. It encloses several beautiful Jain temples, including the Achaleswar Mahadev Temple (1412) and the Kantinath Temple (1513). Mount Abu is connected by road with Udaipur (185 km) and Ahmedabad (300 km). Both Udaipur and Ahmedabad are well connected by air/rail with major Indian cities





      


Ooty



Ooty is a hill station in South India is situated in Tamil.
